Over the the half-term break I got into some painting, more explicitly six knights of Dol Amroth:
I think I did these guys okay, I'm particularly pleased with the shields and robe/tunic-y things.
The colours used:
Basecoats:
- Scorched brown - leather and straps
- Ultramarines blue - shield base and gloves
- Boltgun metal - all metals
- Graveyard earth - skin
- Bleached bone - swan fans(?)(not on shields)
- Codex grey - tunics
Intermediate coats:
- Bestial brown - leather and straps
- Codex grey, Skull white (2:1) - tunics
- Codex grey, Skull white (1:1) - tunics
- Codex grey, Skull white (1:2) - tunics
- Enchanted blue - gloves and decals on shield
- Enchanted blue, Ice blue (1:1) - decals on shield
- Ice blue - decals on shield
- Bleached bone, Skull white (1:1) - swan fans(?)
- Dwarf flesh - flesh
Highlights/final layers:
- Graveyard earth - leather and straps
- Skull white - decals on shield and swan fans
- Boltgun metal, skull white (2:1) - all metals
- Elf flesh - flesh
- Shining gold - guard on sword
- Skull white - tunics
Hope this helps, or guides vaguely towards a more suitable solution.
Turn 8 of Gondor in flames should be up very soon so bear with.
Until then

ReplyDeleteRegrettably I can't, I'm still using them for a few planned battles (he says despite not posting in two months) and I'm quite fond of them. I appreciate your interest in them though :)
